No pictures.

Just got everything set up, pick up the camera which I had oh-so-carefully set down on the wall, strap catches the stone, jerks camera out of hand - Bam! Right on the concrete. Now all I got is black. 12 Mbytes worth, but all black. GRRRRR!

Now I have a worthless chunk of black plastic - unless I bury it for 1000 years...

sorry to hear about that. :(

Up next is the short Nepal Bar Thug. The paint is drying on a few things that will complete my ultimate Toht custom so he should be up as soon as I get to photograph him...

Love it, he looks perfect! What did you use to make him? The group shot is great too, I look forward to Indy and Marion.

Spry,

This is a sensational looking group! Great job. If you'll forgive the nitpick, I can't help but think the colors are still just a little too bright. Looking at the pictures, it feels like they need to be a little more drab and washed out, particularly the Pat Roach figure.

Also, I think you should repaint the body of the Sahara figure.

Still, it is a continuing delight to see your extraordinary customs. It's remarkable how much you've expanded the Indy toy universe with your extraordinary, top-notch creations and I am always eager to see more of your work (and hopefully I'll copy some of it, as well!)

Kevin thanks man and the parts are Sora bulg Torso and arms, POTC short balding guy with open shirt for the head, sorry I don't know his name. The legs came from my fodder bin and they are from the comic pack guy with long hair an goatee, not sure on his name either. Seems like he came with Thrawn. Hope that helps. Indy and Marion should be up next week but for today I have finished Toht...

Thanks Lance and yea I agree I should do a little drybrushing on Pat so he isn't so crispy looking. The Sahara figure sucks now, he doesn't fit in. I should remake him I think and sell this version or trade him...

Glad you like the way I am trying to continue the line, here is my ultimate Toht...

Great group and that Toht is the jewel in the crown. I wanna take one home today! What I like is that not only is it a really nice figure but also looks just like a toy ready to be played with. Super idea.

Spry just stop it right now mate I've got enough to build without seeing your amazing and inspirational pieces. The figures are all spoton and look alot like the characters especially for the size of them, the paint apps are brillant.

So keep them coming bro and look forward to seeing more of your awesome work and (y) (y) .

Amazing work, Luke! I love "ultimate" style figures with interchangable parts. I'm looking forward to seeing the recipe.

Here's my attempt at the German Mechanic. It's sort of a hybrid between Nick Turner's and Inky's:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/33194829@N08/3786672890/" title="Custom German Mechanic by tymorg85, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2669/3786672890_2c4560f0e3.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Custom German Mechanic" /></a>

The head is WWE Kane, the torso and arms are WWE JBL, and the legs are Golden Compass Lord Asriel. There's obviously a waist/hip discepancy, but I think it will look better if I fit him with a wider belt. I'm still trying to figure out how to connect the torso and legs while preserving articulation, so he's not connected yet.

In action:

Woohoo!!! I was able to FIX my frickin' camera! Turns out the fall to the concrete (luckily from about 2 1/2 feet, not my full height) jammed the mirror. That's the mirror in an SLR camera that is supposed to flip out of the way when the picture is taken. Short story is I gave it a wiggle and it's working again.

So, on with the show. Here's my updated big Raven bar thug I promised. I haven't finalized the gun slung over his shoulder yet:

And here he is threatening my repainted Marion:

And now Marion contemplating her future:

She is a bit shiny still, but much better face-wise than the first attempt. You get to see the reason I chose the sitting figure to base this on. The worthless bronze medallion came out a bit large it seems! Those are actual 1920's $20 bill scans, though reduced down to this scale you would never know LOL!

Still here, still watching, and you guys are still producing some awesome work (just don't give Ron any ideas - he's hard enough to compete with at 1:6 scale) ;)

You know, I believe this is possibly the hottest and most active sub-thread on the boards !

Nick, glad the camera is working again. You did a great job revisiting this character. Looks like a Tarkin head on him and I love the soft goods you added for the hat, vest and outer jacket. This looks very accurate to the screen shots. Marion looks great as well. What head did you repaint for her? The sculpted hair is just right! Great touch with the money and head piece, even if it is a little big. Lastly I love the furniture and candle/necklace holder thing you have made. Hats off to you man!:hat:

Charlmagne, great work on the Pat Roach mechanic character. This is another figure hasbro should have released. I have the same parts in my to do bin and just never finished this one. The head is a good likeness to Pat and the hands are able to make a fist are the main things I like about your version. Great job man!

As far as my Toht, I used the obvious Cobra Commander figure as the base with Naboo Pilot head sanded in a few areas and I added his mole on the left cheek. The melting head is the Arena Battle Mace with a little sanding in the right areas and mole added. One vintage jacket and one army figure jacket, not sure what figure as it was in my fodder bin. I used Mutt with jacket arms and just painted the hands black to look like gloves. The burnt hand is Spocks, but I think I found a better one to use so that might change. One thing I wanted the most is the sectional coat hanger. So I made this one out of generic gun barrels, fix it, jewelry eyelets and chain. It was a pain in the a double hockey sticks and one end broke as Deitrich was a little heave handed while holding it with the coat on it. It was going to make such a cool photo. Oh well, back to the drawing board. If anyone can offer any advice on how to make it better please help. I wanted to use styrene but how do you drill a hole small enough into each end? Help?...

impressive, (for a guy in a business suit/action figure!)

It really does look like him!

If you flip the picture the part will be on the correct side, right?

Thanks. Parting is already on the correct side as far as I can see...
