Why all the Cate Blanchett bashing? She's a fantastic actress. Have you seen her in Elizabeth or The Aviator?

Blanchett is a fantastic actress! Finding out that she was going to be in the film is what renewed my interest in this film. I am hoping she won't play the villain, but by most accounts, she does. I'm hoping that she starts off as a villain and then becomes good. That would be something that wasn't seen in an Indy movie, so it wouldn't be a rehash of something we've already seen. As far as Marion goes, it'll be interesting to see if CHUD is right about this. I don't really care either way, but if Blanchett is the villain, I would like to see Marion. I like the love angle of the Indiana Jones films, something I felt was missing from Last Crusade.

Really? I thought Indy really started to love Ellsa. He only ever seemed like he wanted to bang Willie. For someone who slept with his father and became a nazi he sure cared about her.

Yes, but she's only a "love interest" for 20 minutes of the film. We meet her in Venice, and we discover her true intentions in Castle Brunwald.
