KotCS reviews in media

tually, reading it again...that Times review is a mixed bag, I can't pick out what is good and bad about it. Seems very riddled about that fact Indy COULD be good, but might stumble along the way and fall to the other summer movies.

Hmm...

I'd say that the reviewer likes Indy and sees what others may see as flaws but really enjoyed it himself. I think we'll get a lot of those. It's not a very well written review at all. I wonder if the positive reviews will feel the need to swipe a blow at the bad buzz.

True. I know it's not the same boat, but I remember how Daniel Craig and Casino Royale were suspected and doubted before the actual release by a hord of Bond lovers who were hating the new look of his return, and the premise of taking the story to new levels.

Maybe this could be the same for an older Harrison and Indy character in a dramatic new spin for Indy...could be wanted to be flawed, yet may prove to come top trumps?

Walking out after 10 minutes?

I would imagine they were people into popcorn adventure movies...probably stuck up artsy fartsy empty suits and evening gowns.

About any bad reviews...some people just didn't like the previous three, and aren't going to like this one.

Oh well. Their loss.

"For the hardcore Jones fans, this film was never going to live up to expectations.
One cinemagoer leaving the first press screening in Cannes said: "George Lucas, you gotta stop hurting us".
But this is no Phantom Menace or Godfather III. The quality control has been maintained, despite the 19-year wait.
And as Indy himself says, "I dunno kid, it's just a story.""

I guess most of the people here would fall into this category. This is what I hate about the Internet age (although I am a participant to a certain extent), too much advance gossip and build up which leaves some disappointed.
