I wonder if Ford is as sick of saying the same s**** over and over again as we are hearing it.

Harrison Ford is a friendly person and if different people ask always the same questions, they all become a friendly answer about the Indiana Jones 5-"status".
Harrison is professional and he knows that that's part of his job.
What else should he tell?

"It's on George's plate"

"George. George. George! Stop laughing, George! Look, those people out there are waiting for an answer! It's not funny any more, keeping them waiting all this time."

Time is running out anyway as far as George is concerned:

Could also be George Lucas' public relations gag. Maybe the plot of Indy 5 is related to the 2012 Maya prohecy? It's crazy - It's a Indiana Jones setting and maybe Indy 5 will start worldwide on Dec 21st 2012. That would be a great gambit and its still possible . And they: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1462764/ still have right!
Oh s***, I've blown it now... ;)

There are rumours afoot of a return to playing Indy again in a possible fifth instalment, too.
The actor’s eyes light up when I mention it. It’s been well documented that Star Wars and Indy producer George Lucas gave Ford his first big break in American Graffiti, when he was just a struggling actor and making a living as a carpenter.
“If there’s a good idea, I’d love to play that character – and I’d love to work with George again.”
He doesn't seem to mind the question.

Nothing new though apart from the usual 'George is working on it' line.

Ford is too old to do another Indy properly - just look at him. You can fool yourselves all you like about it working, but just look at interviews with him around the time of the first 3 films and then watch this clip.

Well there go any hopes for Indiana Jones V. If George thinks the world would end, why make one last fantastic sendoffs to one of the best cinematic characters of all time, when you could be working on you personal Millennium Falcon of this ticking time bomb we call earth?

*sigh* Really, Lucas?

Indiana Jones & The Mayan Prophecy...?

http://m.wired.com/underwire/2011/01/george-lucas-2012/

I know that article was a bit of a tongue-in-cheek piece but I'm now seriously wondering if Indy V is being set to come out Dec 2012 with a Mayan Prophecy storyline?

That could be why we haven't had the annoucement yet? If it is Dec 2012 release date, then by past films annoucements we wouldn't get official word/press release until this spring/summer?

That idea would make a lot of sense. It'd also make sense of George's end of the world prediction (assuming he actually said it).

HA! Yes! And Spielberg's eye-rolling was because he couldn't believe that Lucas was airing out plot info on Indy 5 just to push the envelope with his word-play, and didn't want to tip his own hand that this is what Lucas was up to....yet at first didn't know where George was going with it. New rumor!!! :p

"So, what you're saying, George, is that when the end of the world comes Indy puts on these underpants and he becomes invincible?"

"Well, they didn't like the fridge, so I went back to the drawing board. They worked for Superman."

It seems like everyday now that Harrison is getting asked about Indy 5. Perhaps a big announcement is on the horizon?

Good god I hope so. The lip service is really beginning to chap my ears. As uncomfortable as it's becoming for me to watch Ford squirm past the Indy 5 query every time he's in public, it's got to be worse for him. And I don't want to pity the man, I want to see him kick ass as Indy for crying out loud!
