Modern Day Indy

In the world of movies/TV I was thinking that Jack Bauer of the television show "24" is the modern day Indiana Jones as far as character types. I think Jack has a lot of qualites in common with Indiana jones such as his way of thinking quick in sticky situations. Obviously there's a little bit more realism in Jack than Indy, but they were similar enough to notice I think. His character is very assertive like Indy and hey, Keifer Sutherland even seems to have the same facial expressions as Harrison Ford, the cocky smile, the serious up turned mouth he gets when angry/sad. Anyone else agree or disagree?
