Holy crap!! The Flying Wing!! FINALLY!! I'm so glad at least ONE company had the stones to put this MUST HAVE piece out there. Looks like I'll have to get full-on into the Legos after all.

Yep, the new LEGO sets look great (Star Wars and return of Pirates). I think the green on the Flying Wing should have been toned down a bit, but it's no biggie. Definite buys!
I want that Flying Wing! That's probably the final design, but I kinda hope they'll make it just a bit more accurate before releasing it. If it is the final design, I'll buy it anyway, it looks GREAT!
Very, very nice...wonder if we'll see any others. Are we slated to do so, next year?
It looks that way! It's already known (from no less unimpeachable a source than LEGO itself) that the Indy line has sold well so far, and of course their general licensing relationship with Lucasfilm (okay, the Star Wars line) has been quite fruitful for both parties as well as fans of both, so it certainly appears they'll continue.
Obviously nothing is officially official until it happens (and even if it's officially announced, plans can change up until sets hit shelves), but for the moment I'm inclined to think the set list quoted in the first link is accurate, and that those four sets will be the summer wave, following January's release of Shanghai Chase and the Flying Wing. I'm not only hopeful but optimistic this line will go a fair bit longer - perhaps it won't be as successful as the Star Wars line (about to celebrate its tenth anniversary), but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it eventually proved to be LEGO's second-most successful license, anyway. And if nothing else, I certainly intend to do my part to see that it gets that way!
I should have posted this earlier, but some of the new Pirates sets shown there have started turning up already at the Imagination Center LEGO store at Walt Disney World. It won't be much longer now before we have our first Temple of Doom-based Indy LEGO set!
I'm already fighting the urges to finally give in and pick up that Temple of Akator LEGO set. Even at $82 at Wally World, it's tempting.
Wow, it's that much at Wal-Mart?? That's one of the very few times I've ever heard of something selling at WM for more than the "standard" price (that set is normally priced at $79.99 or thereabouts; the only other place I can remember ever seeing it for more than that is Toys 'R' Us, which has it for $85.99, IIRC).

Despite common mythology, Wally World is not always the lowest price in town. It seemed like a given at one point that the big W would just automatically be the cheapest but, doing some research and shopping around lately, I am finding that is no longer the case...
* 7195 Indiana Jones Ambush In Cairo/Egyptian Bazaar
* 7196 Indiana Jones Chauchilla Cemetery Battle/Mutt Chase
* 7197 Indiana Jones Venice Canal Chase/Venice Race
* 7198 Indiana Jones Fighter Plane Attack/Plane Race
* 7199 Indiana Jones The Temple Of Doom
Not much more than before, but it does show a fifth set.

Wal*Mart averages cheaper on a full shopping run, but prices will vary on individual items.
