Custom Indy figures

I know this may sound very, very stupid, but is it ok to make custom Indy figures out of other action figures? There hasn't been an Indy action figure line in a very, very long time, and I'm getting tired of it. I already made a custom figure out of a Han Solo figure and another out of a Dollar Store figure. Is it "cool" or "ok" to make custom Indy figures?
