Lucasfilm did a restrike in the early 90s of these posters, and I am almost certain they are selling sock of that printing.
Well, I went ahead and picked them up anyway... even though I usually try to avoid restrikes or reprints... along with the kotcs theatrical poster which I've been meaning to get. You've got me thinking about style B though, now that I've slept on it... I might have been wrong about the size on that one. Still, if it shows up and doesn't have the NSS number on the bottom (which the ToD posters should have had since they were still from '84) then your probably right that they're restrikes... at least they should be good quality ones I guess...

I'm getting some shirts and the character key. Anyone know why the Mighty Muggs are sold out all ready?

I picked up the brown T-Shirt. I was debating getting some other things but I'll get the figures when they hit stores, I already have the posters, and the books I'll get at Borders. I do like the store a lot though and hope they add more items.

Picked up some posters and Tshirts. everything else will be available at retail and I would much rather pick it up the day it hits the shelves.

I picked them up as well...if they are not originals I am going to return. There are a few ways to tell.

As I said, style A should be 41" long but these have three general versions, 2 of which I feel more comfortable with. The first has white borders on the top and bottom, about a half inch thick on each. This was because the original prints were not correctly formatted.

Also, some with and without the white borders have the NSS info in the bottom center and bottom right in a white font. I have seen both...I would like one without the border but with the NSS info in white like this one:

If you have any of those two versions, they are legit. Dealers claim that rolled ones without the borders and/or NSS info are real too, but I compared these and the credit text is much sharper and clearer on the undisputed originals.

I recently got one that I thought was rolled with white NSS info, and it came without it. The colors matched the original that I compared to, but the text was blurrier, not to mention the Dolby symbol bled into itself without the distinct line that should be between the two "D"s. I think this is from the licensed Lucasfilm restrike stock, as well as these two for sale.

As I said, it will be interesting to see them in person, but I am open to sending both back to Lucas.

(By the way, style B is one of the hardest posters to authenticate. Front side should be egg white while back side should be bright white though...)

Kinda disappointed there aren't any new Indy 4 t-shirts. Maybe we'll see some new ones in May.

I agree. I'm glad that they have some new general Indy shirts, but I would've liked to see a could of KOTCS shirts.

Why not walk into Target on May 1 and get what you want/need and save yourself the shipping cost to boot? You will probably get it sooner anyway.

Well I bought the Temple of Doom adveture heros because it was the first I heard about them officialy and there is always the possiblity that by the time I get to my Walmart or w/e they might be out of a certain figure, Like the Indy on the horse seems like it'd be popular. I don't want to drive all over the place for toys. Now I am guaranteed everything I want and I only payed $20 for next day shipping so I will have my stuff by May 2nd. Good enough for me.

My 2 closest WalMarts, 2 Targets, the KB toys in the mall and all the Toys R Us's within an hour sold out of the Indy legos in under 24hrs.
