I'm sorry but I can't get over how flat Harrison Ford seems here. And I am I the only one who feels the lack of tension involved in this chase sequence?
I don't see how there's lack of tension. It's gotta be a pretty wicked moment when that jungle cutter blade slices through the truck, which probably disables it and forces them to bail out and grab another vehicle or something. I can't say a chase scence (which already looks wicked-cool in the trailer and TV spots) looks to be lacking in tension just because of a single frame.

Indy always has that trademarked look of worry on his face. It's Indy!
Even in my worst nightmares I am unable to conceive an action scene directed by Spielberg that's flat and slow. The kid always delivers what he promises

Oh, I definitely agree. Clearly Ford wasn't even trying in this one. And anyone can tell by the look of that picture that this will be a boring movie with little to no action.

Agreed. That scene is so uncreative. I see trucks cut in half every day on my way to work.
Thought I’d screen grab one from the third trailer...nothing new really, but I do love this shot.
I notice too that when it cuts to this shot, in the trailer, the camera is moving up, so who knows how long this is going to be. It's gonna be great to see it in the cinema.
