Hmm...not sure about these. I have the Indy and Henry preordered already. KOTCS Indy looks like he reuses pretty much everything but the head...and the head doesn't look all that great to me. Not really interested in a $150 Mutt, but he looks ok.

The headsculpt on the Medicom Mutt is pretty bad. Even the $20 Hasbro looks more like Shia.

I'm tempted to get Mutt, Henry & OT Indy.

Too bad I can't afford one.

I did a search prior to starting this thread and all I could find were the original threads re the 1st medicom figures. If a mod wants to merge the thread then so be it.

Personally, I have distinct reservations about the Medicom figures in general. But they do have some good points too.
The headsculpts on the 1st Indy and Jones Snr figure are the best to date, The headwear leaves a lot to be desired and they get a lot of critiscsm for being underscale. The costuming is excellent.
The KOTCS figures have similar flaws and plus points, although I do think the flattened hair on the Indy figure is an attempt to resolve the Fedora issue, but overall the sculpt is poorer.
The Mutt figure probrably looks better in the 'flesh',(much like the Luke Jedi figure). The costuming is flawless.
My main reservation is this, COST. None are perfect (Sideshow, Hasbro, Medicom, Toys Mccoy even the Arnie Kim Figure). The prices will dictate what one buys. If you just want a cute little figure for you ar your Kids- Hasbro.
If your starting out as a collector and want something more accurate- Sideshow.
If your into higher end collectables but on a more limited budget- Medicom.
If you have the money for something better- Sideshow Premium or the upcoming Takara Genx Core.
If your a compltetist- Toys Mccoy.
If you have money to burn (and can find one!)- Arnie Kim.
And if your still not happy- Make your Own!!

I'm withholding judgment on Medicom's Indy and Henry until I have them in hand as these will be my first Medicom figures. I have seen the Jango Fett and one of the Clone Troopers in person and was blown away by them but their armored figures have always looked good. I was not impressed by Medicom's Jedi Luke at all (other than the costume).

I think Indy and Henry look good, though they do have their faults (like you said, mainly the headgear) but KOTCS Indy just doesn't look that hot. He looks older, but not old enough and the hat looks even worse than the first one. I have to admit, I think Mutt looks good, but I am just not willing to pay that much for him. The jacket does look pretty great too.

I'd be tempted to pick up the Mutt figure for use as fodder for a custom... I am hoping someone will fill the void with a good custom Shia headsculpt... that jacket just looks great though....

This is the link to the thread that I started prior to this one, I actually thought at one point I was posting on it! However no one seemed to have anything of note to say there. Could a MOD please close it?
Thanks...

They are up for pre-order at Sideshow. Some nice, big, hi-res pics as well...shame they don't do anything to improve my opinion of them I really dig their younger Indy and Henry, but these just don't look that hot...espeially Indy

Not bad...but not great! I still think the Sideshow 12'' Exclusive is the best bang for your buck. If I had the money I'd get the Premium Format statue, now that thing is a work of beauty!!

I can't wait to see who's next on Sideshow's list for 12" figures! I have a strong suspicion it might be a KOTCS character(Spalko)! If not, I could see them do Toht.

I prefer to get the regular edition because it's the original.

What do you mean the regular one, the 12" figure or the 1/6 scale Premium Format?
