I am not going to quote the whole list, because I don't have much suggestions other then:
1. Have it set a few years before Crystal Skull, but after WO II
2. Have Nazis build a base somewhere remote, where they hide out in order to prepare for a second attempt at conquering the world
3. The creepy crawleys could be anything, just no CGI.
4. Darker and less goofier then Crystal Skull.
5. Maybe a MacGuffin to ressurect an army of undead soldiers.
6. No referencing 50's movies, instead focus on something that builds on the Indy universe.
7. More practical effects, less bull****.
You just described Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix
Location: Australia (The only place Indy hasn't visited yet!)

Title: The Adventures of Mutt Jones
MacGuffin: The Winebago Headdress
Year: 1958
Returning Characters: Mutt Williams
New Characters: Mutt's Greaser Friends
Indy girl: non existent
Sidekick: Mutt's Greaser Friends
Champagne villain: non existent
Menacing villain: non existent
Critters: non existent
Locations: (in order): Forest on outskirts of New Haven
Plot: Mutt Williams crashes his hotted up car into the forest after drag racing along a big road. In the forest they find a hidden american-indian chamber filled with traps protecting the ancient headdress of the Winebago Tribe. Mutt shows he is alot like his father when he beats the traps and escapes with the headdress.
Sets and setpieces: Long road lined with forest, the forest, ancient american-indian rock chamber.
Vehicles: hotted up roadster
Grisly death: non existent
Finale: headdress recovered and taken to museum.
Last shot: close-up of headdress being held up by mutt, cross-fades into close-up of it being placed in glass case in museum. The shot then zooms out to show full museum room as credits roll
This is my idea for a tv series (possibly cartoon) about Mutt Jones's adventures. It would start with this one. Mutt goes back to school after KOTCS and this his last night of high school before he goes to study archaeology at the University of Chicago like his father did. His adventures would go across his time at Univrsity: getting into trouble, going on digs etc.
Indy kills someone...okay i'd be happy with him shooting AT someone...actually...I just hope he fires his gun period. probably wont happen. Not good for the kiddies
- Another mention of the Ark of the Covenant, or the other MacGuffins
- Sallah, damnit!
- No Mutt
- More Marion feistiness
- Less George Lucas dialogue - "I never should have doubted you, old friend"
Yes. Yes, he did. Kaminski's camera occasionally made his hair look ultra-white.
I was referring more to the stuttering, stumbling fool that Indy had deteriorated into in the last half of the movie. " I wrote!" delivered like Neilsen. Flailing arms in the quicksand: Neilsen like.

I didn't fully notice all that - I was too hypnotised with horror watching batty Marion.
If Lucas has a wish list, it's probably made up of unused elements, such as:
Use whip to make opponent shoot self (Raiders)
Himalayan Shaman (Raiders)
Mechanical arm, radio implanted in villain's head (Raiders, Monkey, Crusade)
Rolling egg sequence (Doom)
Water ski (Monkey)
Ride rhinoceros (Monkey)
Pre-battle pep talk, Gladiator fight (Monkey)
Indy dies (Monkey)
Apes (Monkey, Crusade)
Lit trail of gasoline or gunpowder (Monkey, Crusade, Darabont)
Riverboat (Monkey, Saucer, Skull)
Stairway to heaven (Crusade)
Parachute Dive (Saucer)
College football field (Saucer, Skull)
Breakaway floor over Nazca lines (Skull)
I really hope they follow the trend of the first three and do a prequel to KOTCS set a couple of years before staring Mac and indy, maybe have the opening scene set even further back where Indy meets Mac for the first time.
I dont think im ready for Shia to steal the show just yet.

that sounds cool but george lucas would probably jump on the introduction of Mac and his stupid multi-agent thing that went on in KOTCS.
i do like the idea of a prequel though but without mac cos i hated his character.
Yes, I would like it to be a prequel too, mainly because I don't like all the new stuff introduced in part 4 that changes everything in such a big way. I don't care for Indy having a son and being married, I have no need to see Marion star in another Indy film and I thought Mac and Oxley were lame and uninteresting characters. I'd rather see Indy tracking around the globe alone and meeting some new characters, getting in danger, saving his ass, finish the story and that's that. The only character I wouldn't mind seeing back is Sallah because he's got his roots deep in to the Indy universe. So I'd vote for a prequel, less family friendy, some gore and scares, just Indy on a stand alone adventure, but above all a SOLID SCRIPT! That's my only real wish for part V.
I had an idea for an adventure story (not an Indy one however, fan fiction is a waste of time to me) that would involve something like that. Wasn't sure how to implement it correctly, though.
A good script. A movie thats not Disney (KOTCS). Shortround and Salla. Great adventure. History. Booby traps. Good humor ( like the first three movies).
