San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) General Discussion

The event is finally upon us. This is almost like a Toy Fair #2 only perhaps more fun. That means there will be new product news and some pictures of upcoming toys and merchandise.

Coverage will be streaming in over the course of the event days -

Thursday, July 24
Friday, July 25
Saturday, July 26
Sunday, July 27

with a preview night for some product lines tonight, (Wednesday).

Early set up is happening now. This link has a gallery of displays from Sideshow and Lego -

Image of Hasbro stuff... hopefully that's not the "tank w/3 figures" listed in the TRU computer.

Also, what are thopse multi packs on the left? Perhaps maybe DVD sets, like they did for the SW line? Yay, repacks of Mutt w/snake and RPG Indy

Thanks for the link!

Yep, that just might be it. I was going to get two more Jungle Cutters and two more Russian Soldiers. I will just wait for this to come out. Like the packaging, but hope that this does not nix the notion for a Last Crusade Desert Tank!

I also see the infamous DVD packs exclusive to Wal*Mart. Uggghhhhh...

Yup, the Jungle Cutter has a Toys R Us exclusive sticker on it

That Indy figure in the box looks a little different though...though it could just be my imagination.

I thought the Indiana Jones figure looked different, too. Well, I guess the TRU exclusive will make a colorful and fun boxed shelf item for my collection!

they better announce the marcus brody figure, why would you hold back one of the best liked characters from IJ?,im tempted to make a custom but wouldnt do him justice,it seems the major demand from hasbro is for a marcus figure and short round.

You know it may not be that he is announced at this event, but have every confidence that Hasbro will get to do at least one version of Marcus Brody. Of course he may not make an appearance until 2009 or 2010.

In the artwork for the Jungle Cutter, I see a Russian vehicle next to Spalko. Is Hasbro working on a Jeep or the amphibious duck?

That looks amazing. I hope Hasbro will take notice for their version.

Hasbro diorama with TOD figures included

If you look carefully, you can see Short Round on the other side, hopefully more pics soon.

Hasbro really enjoys creating scenes. Wonder if that rope bridge is a hint???

Awesome display! The crystal skeleton looks like he's letting one rip.

That's not an Indy figure we've seen before, either. Looks like a very good ToD Indy head on a Crystal Skull jacket-less body.

Detective Fork - the second pic is a custom from the Collecting \ Custom Dioramas thread - and yes, that is a Deluxe Pitfall Indy head on a jacketless Crystal Skull body.

If Hasbro marketed a diorama playset like that I would fall madly in love with them....

The bridge set up is very cool.
