Whre did you go to on your vacation?
I know. This sounds like something a teacher would ask her first-grade class.
I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow (A week without work or worries!) to the inlaw's (A week with akward silence and Meet-the-Parents-situations!).
It's in North Carolina, and I plan to take the family to the zoo, and water park also.
I was just wondering where everyone else went, or plans to go to?

Those types of moments bite.
*sigh*
Well I hope it's turns out to be a nice outing. Personally, I've never been past the Rockies.
Currently I am on summer vacation... which is nearly gone like a summer dream.
School wore me out so much this past year that I came home and basically crashed for two months and am only now really doing much (actually, that statement isn't fair, spread out over that time I've done a few day trips, and a good friend came up from California to spend a week, plus I've seen TDK twice with the friends).
I've got some things I need to do. The school year; it's like marriage.

well in years past i have gone to disneyworld in florida for the star wars weekends , but this year my daughter got married and we stayed home for vacation --- we did go camping for two days nothing special , and then came back home and put a new deck in the backyard --- kinda cheap in doing anything minus the cost of lumber of course --- have fun on your vacation .
My summer holiday has just ended, and school started today. I spended almost the entire holiday in the countryside and I have no idea what has happened in the city while I was gone (if something has even happened). I also was on a confirmation camp a while ago...
I went to Egypt and Jordan some weeks ago. It was really beautiful. I started in Cairo, then via the Channel of Suez to the Sinaļ desert where we had two nights under the stars, then we crossed the Gulf of Aqaba into Jordan were we saw Wadi Rum and ofcourse Petra.
Oh, and i floated in the Dead Sea, that“s really weird!
I had a good friend who had been to Egypt a few times, he said that in the desert you can just shuffle your feet in the sand and find things (even actual relics are common). Of course it depends on where exactly you are, but they did bring back some interesting finds.
To Mexico on a cruise! Not as different as I expected from America. (I thought there would be a lot more Spanish.) But I visited the Mayan ruins and the entire time I was bugging my parents: 'Can we go on them yet? If only I had my whip...'
next month i'll be 16 and i went on 1 real vacation in my whole life. i loved going to Gatlinburg though. my parents own a company so....... the farthest we ever go is.....a 2 hour drive.lol
vacation, what is this you speak of? I do not get to go on these things . . .
For you, Mr. World Traveler, it would be akin to a seven day, six night foray into my cube farm, paper pushing world. It's what we souless souls dream of, you know, trips to Paris, black sand beaches, fine women, and aged wine (in that respect of course). You know, the stuff you do everyday.
