Yeah my latest purchase was 'Fire Ice' where it mentions Kurt Austin was a 'new hero for a new millenium'. As you say by the year 2000 Dirk Pitt would have been getting on a bit. After looking at the bigger picture I think I'm actually in favour of this method to carry on the series.

I actually enjoyed sahara the film. Inca Gold would make an excellent film. I was just talking the other day with my dad about how I was suprised more of cusslers stories havn't made it to the big screen. There is plenty of action and some excellent material that would make for some brilliant viewing.
