Is that a Woman or a Man? (& that hat)

In the scene of Marion out drinking the other person at the bar, is that a Man or a Woman? I always thought Man but someone told me it was an actress.
Also I am the only one that notices that man with a funny U shaped hat on as they are all walking out? It kind of looks like two horns? It kills me every-time I see it. Sideshow needs to make that HAT!

When he goes outside those two "horns" will fold down to protect the sides and back of his head from the cold wear. It's a Nepalese style of hat I believe.
