Sean Patrick Flanery in Saw VII?

It seems Young Indy will be in the next Saw movie alongside original Saw actor Cary Elwes:

and it's going to be in 3D! Who woulda thunk it?

I checked SPF's IMDB page but Saw VII isn't listed there.

No! Not more 3D!

I have the first five Saw movies and enjoyed them - if "enjoyment" is the right feeling. I find them hard to watch, yet compulsive. A guilty pleasure. Since the death of Jigsaw the films have become even more complicated, by playing with time.

It'll be interesting to see SPF back on screen.

Not sure whether they can keep this series going, without repeating too much of what they've already done.

If the 3D's good, then this could really be unwatchable in terms of gore!

Holy shiznit! A friend of mine is also in that movie. She started on the shoot 3 weeks ago. I'll have to ask her if she has any scenes with Flanery!

I have never seen "Saw" or any of its sequels.

Ha! Res, I will be watching this new one because I try and watch everything with my friend in it. I'd also like to watch the 1st in the series simply so that I can say, "I saw, Saw."

To give you an idea of what Saw is, there is a quote from The Guardian on the cover of the DVD I have:

"Perhaps you enjoyed Se7ven. This goes up to Ei8ght."

If it hadn't been for the names Cary Elwes and Danny Glover on the cover, I wouldn't have bothered picking this up (along with the next four at the same time). I'm not a lover of gory movies, but I'll accept it if it's integral to the story - and you can't really escape that with the Saw series. It's all about traps, puzzles and mind games. Like the game show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here", but with life or death consequences!

In fact a few weeks ago there was a special celebrity game show on UK TV called "The Door", which seemed to be inspired by Saw.

So, who's your friend, Stoo? Someone we might have seen before?

She is reprising her role, Tara, from "Saw 6" (which you haven't seen) but most of her work has been on Canadian TV, Canadian movies and radio (as CBC Radio's "Promo Girl") and is actually more than just "a friend".

Perhaps her largest exposure was as Julian's undcover cop girlfriend in the "Trailer Park Boys" TV show, which has been exported. Here she is with Bubbles:

P.S. I made a mistake. Just looked at one of her e-mails and she started shooting at the end of February (not the beginning of April).

I'll have to look out for Saw VI. She has a rather fine exposure!

SPF has no character name listed yet.

Too bad about Ei8ht wasn't reprised by Fincher and Company:

“Three years after the events in SE7EN, detective Mills (Pitt) is in a mental ward and discovers an eight ‘sin’ while reading through John Doe’s rambling notes. Mills contacts detective Somerset (Freeman) and asks him to investigate the matter, opening up a whole new underbelly of murders that had yet to be uncovered. Mills is released from the ward to work with Somerset on the case, but it isn’t long before Mills himself is suspected of either collaborating or being the source of the bizarre killings himself.”

I'll just throw this in here as well. For those that haven't seen Trailer Park Boys, this is where Ellen Page got her start, playing Mr. Lahey's daughter.

I'm not surprised canuck actors are in the Saw series because aren't they filming them in Vancouver?

Hey, Goonie. We've been close since our late teens. Never a dull moment when we get together.

She did meet SPF while filming Saw 7 and said he's a "hell of a nice guy". Unfortunately, she only has a bit part in this one without even any lines...part of a "Jigsaw support group" with Cary Elwes and Young Indy. (Her role in Part 6 is larger so that's the one I want to see.)

(Trailer Park Boys: I could tell Goonie about the time that Ricky, Julian and Bubbles signed the cast on my friend's arm in a bar but this isn't really the right thread.)
