Indiana Jones vs. Zorro

Young-Youngish Indiana Jones (Sean Patrick Flannery and TOD-LC era Harrison)

vs.

Young Zorro (Tyrone Power and Guy Williams).

and

Older Indiana Jones (Harrison in Mystery of the Blues and KOTCS)

vs.

Older Zorro (Anthony Hopkins)

Zorro gets outgunned. Indy should pick him off from a distance, or let Mutt go up close for some fencing practice!

Zorro would slash his Z into Indy's neck, while cooly saying, "A small memento of Mexico, to remind you to never return, Senor Jones!"

Indy would whip Zorro's hat off and feed it to a thuggee.

I think Indy and Zorro are on par with the whip. Both use it for much the same purposes and both are very fast with it, using it to disarm foes and the like. You have to remember that having Indy use a bullwhip was based in large part on Zorro.

Also, Zorro is much more of an acrobat than Indy is. Indy's brute force and strength--a fist fighter--Whereas Zorro is a bit more clever, graceful. Indy's a bit clumsier and more blunt than Zorro is.

What a great thread!

I enjoy both Indiana Jones and Zorro so much that it is almost a shame. My personal Zorro favorites are both Guy Williams and Antonio Banderas. Perhaps, it is because of Zorro that I like Puss in Boots of Shrek so very much.

Far and away (see what I did there?) the coolest character in that franchise.

I too have so much love for Zorro that I fear that someday I'll go kablooie like Doom Town.
