Well, it's the hope of these people that are keeping me going, and you certainly did burst my bubble. But i am a person that goes for everything. Since I live so close, I once tried getting an interview for Stephen King and i ended up getting his secretary saying he would, but his schedule was too tight and she was watching out for him.
I have nothing, in life, to do. I am living a life of hell because my dreams are unreachable. I am what you would call a "lost soul". These people, these 'fans' have given me a sort of hope. At first I didn't think it could happen, but after I realized we were getting closer i started studying hard and doing whatever research i could on Archaeological information.
I was sitting on a bench in the sidewalk outside of an expensive mexican resturant, writing away in my cow coloured composition book, when all of a sudden, a stranger tapped my shoulder. I turned my head to see a man looking at my little book and he asked me what i was writing. I told him my sad little story of how i was researching and writing and brainstorming for this Indiana Jones book i might be doing. He was awed and gave me the best of luck and walked away. The next day, i went to the library to pick up some archaeological books and some about the "Mysteries of the World". I told the librarian my sad little story. She said she was a fan of Indiana Jones and said, "If your book is ever published, i'll make sure it finds its way in here". She gave me the best of luck, checked my books out to me, and I walked away. Everyone i told gave me congradulations and wished me luck, and i felt proud. From then on, i had a sense of adventure. I knew that if i had an artifact, a special and religious artifact, i would be able to finish my outline.
I now don't know what to say, you have brought me to realize reality and i don't know if i want to face it. I've come so close to my dream, almost within grasp, now i've slipped up. These people were working their hardest, i've never seen such kindness before. My meaning in life wasn't to send some crap to a fanfiction forum among thousands of others and end up in a pile of others. I'm lost, and Indiana isn't here to lead me the way. What do you guys think? Should this news dishearten us? Should i give up now and save you from more hard work and hard pain? Should i give up and let my life continue as it is?

This is part of the business of writing in the publication world. It is far from easy. But do not fear whatever lies ahead.
My post was to inform you BEFORE you got hurt. Each of the posts were casual in dealing with what you were seeking. YOu needed to know the truth about the Indiana Jones books.
Look, Indy is a great character and it is fun to imagine a story with him. But if you want to be a writer, I encourage you to continue, but hesitate about creating with someone elses paints and canvas. Starting off that is.
Imagine someone of your own creation in a world that you have creative control over. The story that unfolds...
When you are ready to tackle a project as big as Indy, then take him on. But if you have no previous expereince, you will fail.
When will you be ready? You'll know.
As for our lot in life? There is no such thing. It isn't what happens to you, but what happens IN you that counts. To strive toward success is a good thing. Surround yourself with those that inspire you to succeed.
None of it is easy and all of it you have to EARN. But if you are willing to pay the price of experience and life - the reward if startling.
I know my earlier words must have stung and that wasn't my intention. But the wake up call was necessary. I hope that you can be encouraged by the following:
"If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it, to work day and night for it, to give up your time, your peace, and your sleep for it...if all that you dream and scheme is about it, and life seems useless and worthless without it...if you gladly sweat for it and fret for it and plan for it and lose all your terror of the opposition for it...if you simply go after that thing you want with all of your capacity, strength and sagacity, faith, hope and confidence and stern pertinacity...if neither cold, poverty, famine, nor gout, sickness nor pain, of body and brain, can keep you away from the thing that you want... if dogged and grim you beseech and beset it, with the help of God, you WILL get it!" -- Les Brown, Live Your Dreams.
Good luck. Here's to fortune and glory, kid... fortune and glory.
Wise words... I've had only little experience. You see, i had written 100 pages of work on a book i intended to finish. I looked, later on, at the begginning and realized my awful mistake; its illiteracy. I realized none of what i wrote was fun or interesting, and I was fraught with terrible guilt and frustration. I tried writing another one, and recently i looked back and thought once again, it was stupid and silly. Afterwards, i didn't know what to write until i watched an Indiana Jones movie, again. I realized the adventure and comedy and thought, "This is a FUN movie!!!". I went blind, until now. I guess i should thank you for helping me, and i do. You've helped me realize my stupidity.
I so wished someone would come before you and say, "We got the RIGHTS!!! Look at THIS!". But that, as well, was a stupid dream. I thought i was ready for this, but now, I've got to give it a rest.
I've let you down, I've let you all down...
"Forget any ideas you've got about lost cities, exotic travel, and digging up the world. Eve do not follow maps to buried treasure and X never, ever, marks the spot."

I know this is getting old, but i'm still going to fight my way for breath. I have a smaller opening, but i'm going to take it. This is the last time i'm going to ask. If we can brainstorm before 3:00 today, i can improve my Outline i'm going to send to this person that's helping me. He's still interested despite the impossibilities.
Now, do we have any artifacts or any other form of adventure Indy can go through in Egypt? Indy is going to travel about the world (And if you wish, you can make suggestions on where and why) and one of the most important places is going to be surrounding the Tomb of Tjeti, the final place he'll end his adventure.
Edit: Maybe even New characters if you want. I'm looking to place a more better taste in adventure.

This is the beginning of the outline, so far. Offer suggestions if you wish...
Prof. Henry Jones, after finishing a recent architectural exploration, decides he wants to retire from his teaching job because of current pileups of unfinished work. Before confirming his leave, Marcus Brody invites him to a private dinner, where he informs his friend of a challenge that seems a little intriguing.
These are brief back-of-the-book synopsis of my four novels - crude - but you get their point...
Book One: Indiana Jones and the Seven Cities of Gold
By James Bradley
While contemplating retirement, Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones seeks solitude at the family cabin in New Mexico's desert. Just as he feels himself escaping the lure of adventure, Jones is fingered as a suspect in the theft of several rare Zuni Indian artifacts from the reservation nearby. Indiana strives to vindicate himself by assisting the suspicious reservation authorities in catching the real perpetrators. Following clues hidden within the stolen artifacts, Jones is led along a deadly path of Spanish conquistador legends about Seven Cities of Gold, uncovering what may be one of his most startling discoveries... if he survives.
Book Two: Indiana Jones and the Scourge of God
By James Bradley
Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones returns to archeology with a new quest; the discovery of Genghis Khan’s lost tomb! But as he travels around the world and begins his search with a recovered map leading the way, guardians of the past, sworn to protect a secret that has left over a thousand dead soon surround Jones, and tracking Indiana are the men who had previously held the only map leading to a possible fortune. They want it back and will stop at nothing to do so. As Indy approaches his X-marks-the-spot, he finds himself within the land of Khan’s descendants and two countries going to war. Can he discover the truth about the past and can its revealing discovery keep Indiana Jones alive?
Book Three: Indiana Jones and the Lost Library
By James Bradley
United States Army Intelligence has asked Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones to locate an ancient secret that lies hidden somewhere along the Mediterranean Sea. As Indiana follows a trail left by Roman Legions centuries ago, he discovers that some things are best left shrouded in the past. In a grueling race against time and a ruthless band of Italian scientists, Jones must uncover the truth about the destruction of the famed Library of Alexandria, and locate the horrors that escaped the flames of antiquity. As the Mediterranean erupts into war, can Indiana Jones find the secrets that lie buried along its shores and the key they may hold in killing them all?
Book Four: Indiana Jones and the Sunken Road
By James Bradley
Tales from the past and clues hidden within ancient texts, found in the remnants of a lost library, describe a civilization and lost city that disappeared from the pages of history. As Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones explores the past he struggles to uncover a truth that could bring peace to a world erupting in war. But there are others who will stop at nothing to keep such a peace and a place for themselves. In a terrifying leap of faith Jones must locate and protect what historians and scientists refuse to accept and try to save the hope it may hold for all mankind and any peace at all.
Shipwreck, I say this with utmost sincerity, I am disappointed that I'll never get to read those. Thralling stuff for any worthy Indy fan. I especially liked the "Scourge of God."

Wait a minute...wasn't Attila the Hun the Scourge of God, not Genghis Khan?

"In the course of his life he was given many names - the Mighty Manslayer, the Scourge of God, the Perfect Warrior, and the master of Thrones and Crowns. He is better known to us as Genghis Khan." - Excerpt from 'Genghis Khan'; Harold Lamb, 1928
Did you know, one of the King Henry's died from a seagull that dropped a nut on his head?
Anyways...
I haven't heard anything from the guy that sent the outline... I wonder if George Lucas is trying to get ideas from the outside world. Well, if Indy IV has a scene with Ra and his right eye, you know where it came from!
