In the credits it has listed "the australian climber" ive searched this movie all over on my dvd and it has nothing to do with australia, so im wondering where abouts in the movie he is ?

Are you serious? That's meant to be an Australian Climber?!?
The one I've always taken to be an Aussie is the guy with the hat and rope over his shoulder whispering while they are betting. You can hear his accent- his an Australian alright.

I don't think it's meant to be that fat person who falls over drunk, they don't look very Australian at all.

Yes, as Neolithic, I too have been under the impression that the Australian climber is actually the Australian guy in the drinking scene

that's it. it's on a different table we don't get to see in the movie

after all, "muscular and ferocious" isn't what i'd call the guy at marion's table

The description hardly matches the actor but here's another excerpt:

"The Australian Climber focuses on his final glass and picks it up with
a steady hand. He smiles at Marion roguishly and drinks. He puts the
glass down and narrows his eyes at Marion. Then he falls over like a
big tree..."

Maybe the "hat and rope" Aussie was switched with the other guy
as a last-minute change.

The Australian Climber is the fat dude drinking, or at the The Raven thinks so. I was looking at avatars and the picture of the fat guy is labled "Australian Climber".
