Canyon's latest gear pics

Here are some pictures that were taken a couple of months ago...

Enjoy!

Temple of Doom shots

General gear shots

Is that an artifact I see over there?

"Aww, now the bad guys are coming!"

In the ToD pics, the pants are from LL Bean (taupe) a H&M shirt, an Akubra (which needs a reblock, btw)

In the other pictures, I am wearing Temple of Doom pants from Noel Howard (have now been taken in an inch in the inside leg), NH shirt, and my Fortune and Glory Adventurebilt fedora.

Both sets of pictures include Raiders Wested jacket, MKvii bag with strap
walking boots, and whip from Texas Bullwhips (soon to be replaced with a whip from Winrich Whips.

Your costumes look awesome as usual, Canyon!

Wait, scratch that, this isn't costuming, this is a step above: Wardrobe.

The 2nd pair of pants are way too big....
(Mens pants are rarely if ever flattering on a woman....)
The jacket is WAY too big....

The shirt.... the holster/gun belt... the bag... the hats... The TOD shirt!! all look fine.

Gloves next?

Wow, you're right. Just look at this one:

Way too baggy. Jacket doesn't look too bad to me, but if they are custom sized I would get one that isn't that long. Nice lookin' gear though.

The shoulder seams on the jacket are the truest tell that it's too big. They shouldn't lay 2 inches down ones bicept. The shoulder seam should sit, (I know, you'll call me crazy) at the shoulder....

Kinda makes Canyon look like she's a kid playing dress-up in her daddy's coat

(Which is a whole different kind of cute)

It seems to me that your daddy didn't tell you "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

Canyon, I like the outfits. I would get some less baggy pants, though. See if it is cost effective enough to take in the jacket, but if not that okay...

"If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

That's a pretty sad and pathetic way to live your life.... If you want to submit things for peer review, you must be able to take "the crunchy with the smooth" as it were... To accept constructive criticism

If you only ever want to be told "That's nice, Dear." then only ever show things to your mother..... she has to say that.....

The fact is, as good as the gear looks, I think it would look much better on Canyon if the pants and the coat actually fit her well.

If you, Aaron only wish to blow sunshine up her, maybe you should post it at COW..... I respect Canyon too much to treat her that way.

Firstly, you'll see I said that I left a note on my original post that I had the pants taken in on the inside leg. I think the tailor took them in about an inch and a half in the end. I also have the Raiders pants and am going to have those taken in also.

With the jacket, it was made to my size, but to this day, I've always felt that the sleeves were a tad too long. I may try to get Wested to take them up for me next year when I visit them for a new jacket. To be honest, I expected some comments about the pants, so its not a problem.

Lastly, Clint, I'll take the cute comment as a compliment.

Thanks for all the comments, guys!

I look forward to seeing pics of the pants after they've been altered.... they might then at least fit better in the leg...

(Personally I still don't think they flatter you in the hips at all Canyon.... that's the issue with women wearing pants cut for men.... Women simply are not shaped like men.)

Jacket and sleeves.... It not only seems like they are too long for you, but they also appear to be to broad for you... as if you could fit both arms in one sleeve....

It's really too bad, cause it's a fine looking costume.... It's just a shame it's not your size Canyon....

Cute? Well, you take that however you want to ,-)

An Indy forum that I belong to is keeping a journal of all the members. Here is a PSP pic of me with the journal and various other 'artifacts' of mine. I'm wearing the NH shirt and the 'Raiders' NH pants.
