Which artifact do you want?

Just wanted to know which artifact you guys would like to see in Indy 4. I know this has been discussed before, but hey, its fun. I am sure there are plenty of things you like not listed here. So give me your thoughts.

The Spear of Destiny, Lance of Longinus. It is just a GREAT artifact. Of course, at the same time I don't want it to be the Spear, because then my fan-game would just seem out of place.

The Spear of Destiny would be great, although one of the comics has already covered it. Most of the choices up there would make for a pretty cool artifact so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This poll needs a "None Of The Above" option...

Wouldn't everyone rather se an artifact that resides more in myth than fact? The whole fun of the artifact is not knowing what it looks like.

The Spear would be neat but my only complaint is that Indy already discovered it in one of the comics and using it in the film would throw off the whole series.

"when the spear already is in a museum?"
There is a LOT of debate over that 'Spear" and it's authenticity.... IIRC there are at least 4 or 5 other "Spears" that claim equal validity.

Really, I think the Spear would just be a pale imitation of The Grail.... Just more of the exact same mytho-X-tian yawn fest....

I think it's well after time for Indy to go after something Egyptian.... Maybe he could retrieve the DHD that the Germans stole from Giza in 1902

I would like to see the Ark stolen by Russian spies, while Indy, one of the only(living) people who knows about it's power, is nabbed by the KGB. This could also be a good way to re-introduce Marrion.
My second pic would be the Eden story. Maybe it could possibly be combined with Atlantis for a good Adventure for Dr. Jones.

"I would like to see the Ark stolen by Russian spies"
Ug... Holy (pardon the pun) rehash Batman....

and I think the idea of going after a place is just as boring.... Indy is WAY more interesting in his "Fortune and Glory" phase....

I would like to see it happen in the movie though.... Have someone suggest he 'go after Atlantis' and have Indy say something to the effect of "There never was any such place... It's a misinterpretation of political and social satire"... That would be sorta like Indy meets Mythbuster

LOL

I own the Spear of Destiny, so I'd have to vote "no" on that one. And by "own" I mean, of course, that I was born with it.

Whatever the artifact is will be great! I like the Garden of Eden possibilities, but maybe it will be something else, like philosopher's stone. Whatever it is and whatever the movie is will be great, in my humble opinion. Not everyone agrees that everything that they have already done on Indy is great, but I do and I have faith that everything coming up will be...great! Not every one loves everything Indy and not everyone lives in their own Indy world, but I do. Also, I think there will actually be more great action than in the past

I hope it's Eden, and that Dark Horse Comics adapts the other great ideas researched by Ravenites. Also the scripts for Monkey King and Saucer Men (minus the last 2 pages). A friend has an excellent story idea for the Norse God Loki. Forget everything Kevin Smith taught you about Loki. He's bound in Ragnarok and makes earthquakes whenever his wife turns to empty the bowl of searing venom dripping over him.

"He's bound in Ragnarok "

I think you mean to say "he's bound UNTIL Ragnarok".... Ragnarok isn't a place.... it's an occurance....

Glad to see everyones participation. And no CH, I didnt have a none of the above category. I said in my post to give me your thoughts if your favorite was not listed.

I see your point TOJ. Maybe the spear could have been stolen and Indy would have to go after it before the "world is conquered".

I will be so glad when the movie comes out. Out of all my interests in movies, Indy 4 is my most anticipated!!

Quite right. He's just bound underground to three slabs of stone. The friend's story involves the comical occurances that precipitate Ragnarok. Mayhem ensues.

Hmmmmm.... Which one brings back Marion??? I'm tempted to say bring back the ark, but since each film is different I'd go with either the Spear of Destiny or Garden of Life.

I don't mind them bringing back an artifact like the Ark but I just want to make sure that they really do something great with the story instead of just a rehash or something of that nature.

Still, the Ark might be cool. I guess it would give the series that whole "coming full circle" atmosphere but I would still like to see a completely new artifact.

If you want Fortune and Glory, Indy should be in Jerusalem, excavating for the secret tunnel that leads to Solomon's treasure. With it's estimated value of a few hundred mill, Indy would be a very rich man, if he can make it out alive .

Where's my Thor's hammer when I need it. Not Mjolnr...just the tacky-cool necklace.

Since we're talking about bound proto-gods, how about Indiana Jones and the Flame of Prometheus? Indiana Jones and the Eye of Odin (as I recall, he gave one up for wisdom...or did he hang himself...)? Indiana Jones and the Chains of Apocalypse (see Jude v.6)?

Maybe I should write the books...not that you can get them published these days. And thanks.
