Mola ram chattar lal

In the temple of doom there is a cut scene with Mola ram and Chattar lal in the palace garden Indy sees them.
Also the prince and Chattar lal are in the temple shortly after Willie Indy and Shortie enter. Meaning that after the dinner had finished they must have sneaked to the temple. Does this mean that there was another way down to the temple other than the bug spike corridor that our heroes went down? a quick route perhaps? or would they have gone out the palace and through the mines? or maybe they sneaked through the secret passage while indys back was turned?

I think the bug passageway was a secret entrance, since the regular passage probably wouldn't have bugs and a spike trap. Unless the Thuggee just roll that way.

There have to have been multiple passageways connecting the palace to the temple and the mines. Surely all the freed slave children fleeing the mines didn't all get to the palace through the death trap and the bug tunnel; they must have gone the same way Chattar Lal and the Maharajah and the other Thuggee members with "outside" lives would have taken (possibly the same way the slave kids were brought in after they were kidnapped in the first place).
