Thats true. While I love Sallah, if the plot has no reason to go to that region of the world, it wouldn't make much sense. In the 2 movies he does appear in, he is a friend of Indy's that can help him while he is near Cairo, not like a person he calls every time when he needs a little help.

I hate that little fat man and the stupid sense of 'humour' he has in Indy 3. I cannot watch his scenes without kicking my TV repeatedly and saying bad words my mother would disapprove of.
