You can't be serious. I mean really, the CGI was used quite sparingly, and it was well done when it was used. The characters were the center of the story, I don't know how you can feel that it wasn't.

The lack of sets in the SW prequels probably led to some of the stiff acting we saw as well. Motivation! Motivation! Shame on Lucas for not seeing how stiff it was.
