Fans of the ?Indiana Jones? series will be able to look at images of their favorite hero on three different calendars in 2009.
?Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? easily ranks as the summer?s most highly anticipated movie, and the adventure tale, starring Harrison Ford, directed by Stephen Spielberg and produced by George Lucas, arrives May 22.
Merchandising items are already being promoted for the film. Previews, a monthly catalog sold in comic-book stores, is offering three different calendars with the Indy character.
?Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 16-Month 2009 Wall Calendar? ($13.99) features images from the new film, while ?Indiana Jones Saga 16-Month 2009 Wall Calendar? ($13.99) spotlights monthly photos from the first three installments ? ?Raiders of the Lost Ark,? ?Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? and ?Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? ? in the franchise.
And for hard-core fans, there?s ?Indiana Jones Saga Special Edition 2009 Wall Calendar? ($17.99). It?s designed to look like Indy?s journal and features a ?leather-like? cover, a replica of Indy?s driver?s license and maps of his travels with his written notes.
Those calendars are just the start of the ?Indiana Jones? merchandise coming soon ? very soon ? to a store near you.

Sweet, and also potentially spoiler-ish. I'm trying not to look at those photos.

Why do there seem to be so many spoilers floating around here outside the spoiler forum?

It's going to be hard avoiding spoilers anywhere since most of the merchandise is coming out before the movie and with the nature of the internet today. You would almost have to put a stop to all posts in relation to new merchandise until after the movie because many of them are spoilerish in some way. I see your point but I think most people have been pretty good about not giving away plot points outside of the Spoiler thread.

Indeed, but I'm getting dismayed at how many seem to be letting their guard down.

I'm wondering whether perhaps I should have just avoided the Raven altogether in the weeks immediately before the movie opening, but I don't want to miss out on all the promotional things going on that I find out about here...

Oh! While you are at Hallmark don't forget (If you have not gotten it already) to pick up the new Indy ornament.It's a great piece.

Yeah I think I'd rather get the poster calender. The saga calender just has standard Indy photos.

I don't know if an Indy ornament will go with my menorah though. ;)

Heh,I dont celebrate Christmas either but the ornament was to good to pass up.I have it set up in front of a few of the BK ant crates(Ants kept inside of course ;) ),It looks pretty ace.(y)

If you're looking for the Saga, it's available at Borders stores. I've never seen the Poster one in stores yet.
