"Piker" comes from my college fraternity and "Piker" a few decades ago meant, "Slacker" etc.

The prototype for Indy was an Archeology Prof. who was a member of Acacia, a college fraternity with very close ties to Masonry.

But Josh Bernstein is a Piker too.
