So is giving it 8, 9 or 10.
Even analizing the movie in a very objective way, it deserves a maximum of 6 stars out of 10.
Wanna know why?? Because it is a good film under any "technical" aspect, but it lacks everything else.
No good story, no character development, pretty banal dialogues. "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is flat. It doesn't minimally have the charisma of the previous three. It is a really poor written movie. Poor written, but well executed...
Unfortunately enough, the execution is indeed the least important thing.

No, guaranteed.

That sums up the mind of a child well. Throw them into an adult themed and plot-focused film like Batman Begins and they?ll be bored to tears. It?s not what they?d naturally come to expect from Batman. Throw them into a movie that requires zero amount of brainpower and they?ll be on the edge of their seat. Having children on your side almost hurts your argument.
Well said!!
I'm almost sure the great majority of people who really liked the movie (especially on these boards) are kids without any sense of judice. No offence to anyone, but I'm sure as Hell of this.
And I'm not saying there couldn't be middle-aged people who liked it. I only think that if there are, they are a few.
In any case, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" IS the worst of the series. It is. Try to judge it in an objective way, as far as it is possible. Think about the good things in it, and think about the bad ones. Ignore your personal tastes and you will find that bad things are many more than good ones. No doubts about it.
And if some of you said that, for example, "Temple of Doom" was generally received badly from the audience while now - after more than 20 years - it is considered a freaking good movie, I'm sure that "Kingdom" will go through the opposite path. It is considered a quite good movie now, it will be judged as crap in years to come. And we will see that 7.1 on IMDb becoming 6.5, then 6.2, etc... I'm sooo sad...
