Indy was typing on his blog one day when all of the sudden an instant message window popped up on his screen.... :p

That is a great question elodie, I am curious as well.

Interestingly enough, the only women we see Marion interact with in the films are Sallah's wife and Spalko. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she is bisexual.

Sometimes it's hard to ask a question around here without getting a silly answer... I love anything Indy and Marion so I can help you out a little with the fanfics, there are some when they first met fanfics,

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4294722/1/Falling

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4289323/1/Never_Ever

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4282744/1/Thoughts_of_a_Crazed_Archaeologists_Daughter

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2456050/1/Huevo_de_Chivo

and here are some other Marion&Indy fanfics that are my favs

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4632813/1/Journey

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4587834/1/Be_Careful_What_You_Wish_For

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4555761/1/Parting_Gifts

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4530901/1/Water_In_The_Desert

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4336192/1/Wrong

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5100063/1/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Wheel_of_Time

And I've never gotten even the slightest idea that Marion is anything close to bisexual, that's nuts! Her character has never given that impression (n)

I resurected the thread because I didn't think I needed to create a new one...the title fit. I saw this website/entry and being the curious felow I am thought I would share it...maybe I missed something!

But it never occured to me until I saw this page...

I didn't realize the original post question was from 2005 until now. That website doesn't surprise me though, some people these days like to make every "tough girl" character a lesbian..

That's because there have never been observable circumstances where she could make that kind of impression. And why is it nuts? Who gives a damn whether she is straight, bixsexual or has a fetish for peanut butter massages? Her personal life is her own business, no? ;) :hat:

The way I read:

was the same way I read your re-statement:

well it seemed pretty obvious to me...

Revisionist History...but again I may have missed something.

I'd say that's the whole point of the question...that and how/why would someone make that association and assert it?

...and no, it's not. But I would love to hear your convoluted reasoning for this!

That's my point, if there has never been any observable circumstances, or any evidence what so ever that Marion is bi, then why do you say it would not surprise you if she was?? And I say it's nuts because I hate when people just assume that if a woman is tough or tom-boyish in anyway they automatically assume she is either bi or a lesbian.. And yea actually I do give a damn because I really relate to Marion's character because my personality has always been similar to her's and I've always been the tom-boyish type and I am 100% straight and yea it would **** me off to have someone assume that I was a lesbian or bi.. but I've rambled on enough about this lol I'm just gonna shut up now lol :hat:

p.s. Rocket don't think I was being pissed at you or anything, cause I definitely wasn't! I was just arguing the subject

Same to both of you! I have no reasoning to support my hypothesis that Marion could be bisexual, merely arguing the point...

What I'm saying is, there is no way to prove Marion's sexuality beyond her obvious attraction to Indy and Belloq, so we can determine that she is attracted to the male sex... but we can't prove or disprove anything beyond that. :D

Rocket, if you interpreted much of anything seriously that I said in this thread, I guess you missed the point, being that it's a joke. ;)

I'll chalk it up to not knowing you and you (potentially) not having the rapport with your audience to sell it as a joke.

It can be tough, and exacting when written...:hat:

I was approaching the whole subject as though that were a given...and was focusing on how someone COULD prove something beyond that. Which is infinitely more intriguing and really, the supposition of that whole post/display!

Again, misinterpretation on your end, Rocket dear. I meant that the idea of Marion being a lesbian, and this thread (or what it has turned into) is a joke. But if you want to go out of your way to make low-blow assumptions about my sense of humour, feel free. Truly, your opinions matter less to me than a slight smudge on a cracked mirror. :hat:

... I thought I was being gracious, c'est la vie.

That was hardly a low-blow, (here it comes, get ready)...it was more like a pat on the head and a patronizing, "better luck next time".

(really it wasn't even that, but it has worked out as a really good example of how the written word can be "interpreted").

I "believe" that you care more than you let on...after all who takes the time to notice smudges on cracked mirrors much less write about them excepting those looking for (at) themselves in every surface.

Now that was a low blow...it's not the only thing cracked around here.

Sorry for co-opting your argument...but it seemed like fun at the time.

The basis for everything that you are saying now boils down to a pile of ill-mannered assumptions, and your scrutiny is laughably inaccurate, not to mention your rudimentary analytical methods for ascertaining anything about me. If you want to go on embarrassing yourself and trying to be the tough guy/internet adversary, go ahead, it's an online forum. That's why I don't generally care. :)

I was just buying into your wild assumption that I was hitting you below the belt by providing real examples of how I would, in fact, hit you below the belt.

I'm not trying to learn anything about you...never was. I was hoping to get some insight on the whole Marion lesbian thing, but you seem to want to make it about yourself.

Tough guy? Talk about misinterpretation!
Internet adversary, (cue Star Trek Fight Music!), now THAT was funny...

LOL. Alright Rocket, I'm content to just forget about this silly spectacle of an argument--and the Clay Aiken comment earlier! (Although I have to admit, it was a pretty nice comeback... :hat: ) We cool?
