Original Score?

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but did anyone else notice how the lack of presence of any new music from John Williams? There was the eerie Crystal Skull theme a few times but that's about it. It has the Marion & Indy music and the Ark music from Raiders and some music from LC when it showed the picture of Sean Connery and the Raiders march. The rest of the music wasn't very noticeable, which I know i sometimes what they want, but I was looking forward to something new to have stuck in my head.

So far, I think Temple of Doom had the best Original Score.

Music in the movie

hey,
i have something else to add about the music used (or not used as the case may be) in Indy!
When i watched the trailer on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDUxwcwdjyQ I fell inlove with the song used, Then when I went and saw the movie last weekend I didnt hear it at all, not even in the credits, which I think is a shame :(
I must have watched that trailer a million times, to see both Indy ;) and hear the music? Anyone else hear this song used and feel the same? i found them on http://www.myspace.com/honeyrydertheband Guess ill have to sync them myself when the DVD omes out :p
Other then that i do feel the score used in the movie could have been used more to fulfill the potential of creating more of an atmosphere and getting audience reaction (y)
Anywho, Thats all imo..... :D

That song was added to that trailer by a fan. Nice experiment, but the band/song are not involved with the film outside of fanboy audio mixes. :hat:

Apart from The Raiders March, I don't think I've ever come away from an Indiana Jones movie humming a new theme. That comes later, usually after multiple viewings.

That said, I thought Spalko's theme was pretty prominent, along with Mutt's theme and the Skull theme. The only thing for me, which I've mentioned before and may be a factor, is how low the music was in the mix compared to the sound effects. I would have had the music louder...

Hey I saw that that band Honey Ryder not so long ago play a small gig in London...Pretty good...but not good enough to be used in the score of an Indy movie!
