Panama Hats and Bad Men

A certain trend or motif I've noticed in the Indiana Jones series is that bad men wear panama hats. In Raiders, Belloq wears a Panama Hat. In LC, Panama Hat (Indy's first nemesis) wears a panama hat, and in CS, Mac wears one as well.

However, your data aren't quite accurate. I'm not sure that Mac's hat is properly a Panama, and if we include it, we must also include the hat that Marcus is seen wearing at Alexandretta:
