The Visalia Fox Theatre's film series continues this month with three classic movies — two of which many movie fans have never seen on the big screen.

Today — "Raiders of the Lost Ark" -Steven Spielberg's rip-roaring adventure movie that is the cinematic equivalent of a roller coaster ride from start to finish.

"Raiders" is so full of classic scenes — the bar fight with the Nazis, the truck stunt in which Indiana Jones is dragged under the vehicle and the shooting of the swordsman in the bazaar — it's the type of movie you can see over and over again.

We're back on the "cradle of civilization" bit? I guess the Turkish desert works about as well India. However, I could actually arrange to be in the area for this one...just wondering if HD Digital would be worth it in a way at all similar to celluloid.

Along with the movie, enjoy pizza, water and a raffle with every ticket purchase. There will also be additional movie treats available for purchase. Tickets cost $10 ages 12 and older and $5 ages 11 and under. Warrior players are $5 and children ages 2 and younger are free. Proceeds benefit the Jr. Pee Wee Cheer team.
