I do read DC. The thing is, Superman can be beaten by kryptonite (or depending on the writer/superman of the time, a good old fashioned bit of serious hardware). Darkseid is a planner, a schemer and strategist. Despite his Super-Human strength, he's not much of a fighter.

Hulk's strength is said to be "unlimited". He has in past, held apart space-time with his strength. He held a supercharged Thor (said to be at ten times normal stregth) down with one hand. No matter how much he plans, there's not much Batman could do.

Further to this, Superman may have beaten Hulk - but that was during the Professor Hulk phase, where Bruce Banners mind was in control, more or less. Superman would not have stood a chance again the true, savage Hulk. Batman has fought the Hulk in the past, and for some unknown reason he won. Not by the way, through your argument. No... he punched Hulk in the stomach and the ear.

So Superman punches Hulk, Hulk feels next to nothing. Batman, a mortal does it and somehow beats him. That's just bad writing.
