Just got back with the family...

My review: some good moments but over-baked...too many characters/elements that should have been saved for potential sequels.

Seth Rogan as DK is worst voice casting of all time.

Looks like a pre-Covid sized hit. I'm inclined to cheer on anything that succeeds, if this keeps up I can someday ridicule the masses again.

While I can’t comment on the movie itself as I haven’t seen it’s gargantuan box office just proves that brands are what matters most right now. Although there’s no overlooking some of the smaller original titles that have done well in recent years. I’m not sure how well it means for the cinemas future, like will people really only turn out in big numbers for big branded titles? But it certainly shows that cinema isn’t dying just yet despite what the naysayers like to think.
