^Thats what always kept CR out of my top 3: Its too damn long really. Theres a looong strecth in the Casino where the pacing slooows down, and the whole "Look, its James Bond and he's happy!" scenes really could have been edited a bit. At 2 1/2 hours long, its a bit longwinded.

That said, that unmistakable style of CR keeps in permantly in my top 7 Bond films.

My other Bond fanatics hate The Spy Who Loved Me, and worship the ground On Her Majesty's Secret Service and The Living Daylights walk on. I guess everyone has their own taste.

Man, why all the hating on KOTCS? Because it was different, I guess

Yeah, just like with music, don't do anything that could be construed AT ALL as different, just make the same product over and over again.

KOTCS was fun and enjoyable. It had it's flaws, but damn, so did the originals. A far more grizzled, world-weary Indy kicked ass, and proved he still could. Ford rocked, and I loved that Marion was back. (I always wished she'd been a recurring character as opposed to having a different "Indy Girl" in each movie.)

And why would the alien element be anymore ridiculous or unbelieveable than anything in the first 3 movies? Or what about the far more radical departures from the "Indy norm" that the novels in the 90s gave us? Indy searching for dinosaurs? Fighting Sky Pirates?

I like all 4 movies. If there are more, Great, if not, well, KOTCS had a fitting end for a send-off.

That sick bastard. Not only is he full of ****, but his ideas for Indy 5 aren't even that good. I can only hope that someday his identity will be known, so that Lucas can sue his *** and he'll get what he deserves. Believe me, there's no feeling that can compare to having some idiot put words in your mouth. I speak from experience.

i think georges ideas were pretty good, whats wrong with them?
