Skull is up for favorite movie against Dark Knight and Iron Man. It's for a bunch against those same movies, so it'll be fun to give Indy some love. though Batman/Joker will take the on screen match up i think. I think Dark Knight is the better film and i love it. But my allegiance is always with Indy. Edit: i ended up voting for Indy/Harrison when i could. haha. time to stuff the ballots guys!

Haven't seen Iron Man and haven't liked KOCTS so much, but of course I've supported Indy!!! Anyway I found KOCTS better than The Dark Knight, that disappointed me.

That's cause you have good taste! Haha, no but really, I don't like all The Dark Knight love. The movie just wasn't that good.

In context - TDK was a very good Batman/superhero movie. When looking at it more broadly, it's greatness seems to diminish considerably.

Voted pure Batman, something actually written intellectually. Proud to **** you Skull lovers off. I can’t wait to watch KOTCS get laughed at. I'd wager money now that it doesn't stand a chance. It wouldn't even be second. Iron Man would take that role. This isn't a contest, that's implying competition, there is none from Indy. Dark Knight vs. Crystal Skull...that's an Indy slaughter. It's common sense Batman will win. Oh and I made sure to also post this on the SSH boards and Batman boards all around the net. I've stuffed the ballot five times more. I win. Good taste with KOTCS...now there's an oxymoron. ;) Sorry guys, Indy's time died in the 80's.

Speaking of that; For a year leading up to it's release, we were bombarded with viral advertising, multiple official websites, and more teaser one-sheets than I've ever seen. Months before it's release, tons of avatars and signatures on other boards were all TDK-related as well, regardless of board subject. There was considerable hype upon it's release also, as was expected. I felt smothered by the film months before it was released.

Now, it's all but disappeared. It's as though the film was released years ago, as opposed to earlier this year. Even the uber Batman nerd I work with no longer has it as his ringtone\wallpaper, no longer quotes it, nor does he even talk about it.

TDK seems to have faded quickly.

Delusions of grandeur from a disgruntled Crystal Skull fan. Are you living under a rock? Disappeared off the face of the earth? Perhaps it’s more like you’re just ignoring it, because it‘s far from disappeared. Prefer Crystal Skull you may, to each their own, but blatant lying is laughable.

The Joker was the most popular costume for Halloween. Literally hundreds on SSH alone. There was even a nod to the Joker popularity on the Halloween episode of the Office. Dark Knight DVD pre-orders are through the roof. It’s the second largest grossing film of all time. Dark Knight toy line’s still kicking and the highly anticipated Movie Masters Two-face is headed for a series four release in spring of 2009. Even general Batman themed products, old and new alike, not directly connected to Dark Knight itself, have recieved a noticable boost in sales according to DC comics and Mattel. Mind you these are all facts. Because random coworker doesn’t feel the need to paint Joker all over the place doesn’t sustain an entire argument that society’s lost interest. It hasn’t and the numbers, reviews, and amount of product being produced prove it.

What’s the last thing Indiana Jones got other then mixed reviews and a cancelled action figure line (a four film encompassing long awaited toy line still in its infancy) because of poor sales? Raped on South Park! That speaks volumes. Indy doesn’t stand a chance at the awards. It's Batman and Iron Man with the one-two punch to the elderly man in some alien plagued wanna-be Indiana Jones film. It’s common sense…like the film or not. It didn't reach Iron Man and particularly Batman status and praise. Not even remotely. It's like debating the sun rises.

Quite right.

I remember back in August, everyone at my school told me "I'm so going to be The Joker for Halloween", Halloween came, all of them dressed in different costumes.

Hype doesn't last long for this pathetic generation, but it does last longer than the "Best Movie Ever Made" title in their view. Very sad.

you know why they weren't the joker?? cause they knew everybody was gonna be the joker. last halloween i thought i was gonna be the joker this year, but i realized there was gonna be a bazillion jokers. what do you thinkg people are gonna be hyping it forever?? that's why it's getting a re-release in January, and you know the closer we get to the Oscars, the more we're gonna hear about TDK again.

just cause people have something different to talk about, doesn't mean their opinions have dropped it. the movie still has a 9.1 on imdb
