ResidentAlien said:What is valid source? A cinematic scholar for one. Keep in mind, the oscars are voted on by people IN Hollywood--they're people with something to gain. Crash for instance won because they gave away free DVDs of the movie... talk about influencing the vote. A film scholar is endlessly more credible than someone who has something to gain in the film.
That said... proof... I suppose really there isn't any. But there are certainly many sources far more reputable than those damned award shows.
