That was a great one, and so was this:

That one's terrific, though the movie was called Best Shot over here.

This used to creep me out as a kid...

I don't think any of these qualify as "beautiful," "iconic," or "unforgettable" but I like them. (And, c'mon, that's all we're really doing in this thread.)

This is my absolute favorite of all the Indiana Jones posters. I haven't been able to find a high res version of it, sadly.

Also, there are too many sharks in here. I'm getting creeped out and I'm nowhere near the water. :<

Man, let's read the thread title guys: "The Ultimate One-Sheets"

I would say that about half of what has been posted really qualifies to be in this thread.

I would also say that if anyone can convince me of the awesome, iconic, and complex design merits of a poster from, like say Step Brothers, then I will call my ISP, cancel my service, and become a forest ranger.

This thread stopped being about that a while ago. It quickly became "movie posters I like." Such is the way of the Internet.

You really think so?! I think it's brilliant.

Even if it wouldn't have had the tagline and without showing Culkin's mug, you can see in a second that it's a Home Alone movie and that it'll be set in New York.
Maybe it's not the prettiest poster you would want to hang in your room, but I think it's pretty damn effective. And in my book, that's what a teaser poster should be...

They don't make 'em like they used to nowadays... Now, the teaser poster's like the final poster. It just shows the actor or actress' face...
Look at the Ellie Parker poster...
It might as well have been the cover of a Tori Amos album...

No, I actually like it. What I meant was how awfully cheesy is it. It's so bad, it's good.

Fair enough. :p

For the record, folks, One-Sheet is very specifically a 27x41 poster. I'm seeing lots of UK Quads on here...

I'll dredge up some of my favorites a little later on.

True, and my own mistake in titling this thread...

Could any present mod please change the name to something more inclusive? Thanks in advance...(y)

Why don't you start another thread, where members can pick only one choice for the best one-sheet movie poster of all time? This thread can stay as is, with perhaps a new title! Either way it's still a cool thread!:hat:
