Tweaking ToD to improve its weak spots

Thanks for clarifying. I did mean an Indian woman specifically though, just to balance things out with Short Round and make the Indy gang feel that much more motley/diverse. Of course, I've been thinking about how a Chinese woman would work too, even if that means Indy has two Chinese sidekicks...

Tweaking ToD to improve its weak spots

Hmm. I stand corrected. The more you know. Even so, I don't see why a rich Indian woman visiting Shanghai and then being pulled into an adventure that lands her in rural India wouldn't work. If it really needs tweaking, then make her a touring performer, more similar to Willie, instead of a...

Tweaking ToD to improve its weak spots

I don't see how it's any less odd or contrived than a White American woman who just so happens to be living in Shanghai in the 1930s. If anything, it's more realistic/probable.

Is Mutt, in fact, actually alive?

His rebellious personality would fit right in with the 1960s zeitgeist though. Yeah, the pompadour and biker jacket would be outdated by that time, so he wouldn't have the same getup he did at 19 years old, but he could still work in a late 60s setting. At the same time, it's nice having a...

A posh historical drama tied to Indy, but no one knows it but harcore fans

Followed several hours later by a severe rainstorm.

Touching up Crusade to make it even better

That would legit be a great post-credits scene though 😂

That's a good point. I could see how it could still be done with an Indian princess, though. Suppose she was attending the Obi Wan night club as part of some royal excursion. Then she gets sucked into the adventure, and she now finds herself in the destitute village of Mayapore, far removed...

I really would have preferred a somber version of Mutt's theme that then transitioned into Marion's when Indy was talking about him to Helena on the boat. Instead it was only Marion's theme. Missed opportunity.

Again, one of Indy's core character traits is his stubborn cling to skepticism, at least on the outside. He'll hardly admit it to himself, but deep down, he believes in the supernatural quite a bit. But he wants proof. His ego won't allow him to accept supernatural explanations until he feels...

Or it could simply be that he's stubbornly skeptical and doesn't want to believe in something without proof. That's like...his thing. Innocent until proven guilty; the relics are "artifacts of incredible historical significance" until proven supernatural. For the record, Indy's motivations in...

If he feels that some of the film's contents are downplayed and we don't, isn't that..."a matter of opinion" (Mutt Williams, 1957)?

But fissures in time/temporal meteorologies are exactly what they are. They're these strange anomalies that occur high in the sky during severe weather, kind of like lightning sprites and elves. They are naturally-occuring phenomena within the world of Indy. The Antikythera has no time-traveling...

Replace a word in an Indy quote...with "Toilet".

Klaber: "He don't eat anything on wheels. Put it on a toilet." Indy: "..a common icon." Helena: "No. Look, it isn't. This toilet has propellers."

Because if someone figured out how to use it to locate temporal fissures, they could mess with history. At the risk of sounding rude (apologies in advance), wasn't that fairly obvious?
